Eugene

Everyone seems fascinated with Eugene the girl. Here she is!!!

Eugene

I happen to think the name Eugene is much more appropriate for a female. So don't think of it as a future cause of mental problems for the girl. Think of it as a confidence booster - when she revolutionizes the name Eugene she'll feel better than ever! Uh huh.

Now that I think of it, Eugene does seem like a name better suited for females then males....

Maybe you are on to something Jess!

But still, you could have always gone with Eugenia.

I've had students named YU-JIN before and they've been boys and girls. It's a unisex Korean name. I think it's a pretty girl's name.
Plus, there's a famous Korean singer whose name in Eugene!

Is this famous singer a girl or a boy?

Ahh well, my kid doesn't know the difference. In fact, she probably is happy that her English name is almost her real name.

Today I asked a new student her name and she said "My name is Kim Sung Won but I go by Sarah." THat was some English teacher she must have had once before.
